Plain answers about what happens to your details — so we can always say what you were actually told.
Version 2026-08-05.1 · Last updated 5 August 2026. The version you were shown is recorded with your enquiry.
What we collect
If you use the estimate form: your name, a way to reply to you, the town the tree is in, what you tell us about the work, how urgent it is, and how you would prefer we answer. You choose whether to give a phone number or an email address — one of the two is enough. We ask for the smallest amount that lets us get back to you about a tree.
While you fill in the estimate form, what you type saves on this device as you go — it stays in your browser's storage on your phone or computer, not ours, and it clears when you send or clear it. Only what you press Send on ever reaches us.
If you tick the optional box to be texted, we record that you agreed and when. Leaving it unticked changes nothing about your message reaching us.
There is no account, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking cookies anywhere on this site.
What we do with it
We reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone beyond the service that sends our email, and we do not send marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: anonymised after 90 days.
- Records of jobs, invoices, and payments: seven years, because tax and contract law require it.
- Obvious spam: deleted.
Asking us to delete your details
Email sean@cutabovetree.care and ask. We will remove what we are not legally required to keep, and tell you plainly what we had to keep and why.
